Technokick v2.0!

Technokick.com started in 2014 just as a hobby and in those years it has had its shares of highs and lows. The site was doing great till 2016 end but we were coming to a point of saturation in technology and my interest in phones was a bit fading away, I wasn’t active in 2017 and half of 2018. The site was still running but I just wasn’t that active. The thing is I never treated Technokick as my Job and because of which I was never that much interested in it.
Incoming September, We are re-launching the site and this time it is not just a hobby or side project. Technokick will now be under a brand owned by me. I myself am no more a blogger, rather an entrepreneur. I am running another company along with this one and will try to make Technokick a Brand. I will be testing and investing my next 6 months and after these 6 months, Either This site will be a media publishing house or a domain up for sale.
I will from now be putting my 100% on this site. The first step will be to give it a makeover and within a few days, you will see the site changing its colors. I will also be expanding my team, So people with better writing skills will be introduced.

Things no one told you about the OnePlus 5

The OnePlus 5 had launched globally a week ago with a price tag of $479 and $539 which is not cheap anymore as compared to OnePlus’s previous flagships like the OnePlus3 and OnePlus 3T. The company has made drastic design changes in the new OnePlus 5 which most of the people think as a copy of the Apple iPhone 7 Plus just because of the dual cameras.
The device is offered in two variants; the cheaper model has 6GB of RAM and 64GB internal memory while the other one has 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal memory. Both of the variants run on the super fast Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 and Adreno 540 GPU.
The OnePlus 5 has let many people down after its launch as it doesn’t meet their expectations. Being a flagship with such a price tag, the device lacks many useful and important features which most of the other flagships at the same price range have. Let’s have a look at them.
1. Full HD Display
Being such a great flagship and yet having a 1920 x 1080 Display? We had expected 2960 x 1440, a much better display for they hype the device had. The current display won’t be very much suitable for VR purposes.
2. No 2x Zoom
When the specs of the device were released by the company it stated that the OnePlus 5 would have 2x lossless zoom and not optical zoom. But in fact, the device came out with 1.6x lossless zoom and the remaining will be done by the Smart Capture Technology featured in the device.
3. No OIS and EIS
The OIS and EIS techniques are necessary for better stabilization and crisp clear photos and videos. Unfortunately, the OP5 in spite of having dual cameras lacks OIS and EIS. Due to this, low light images would be a bit blurred and dull.
4. No IP68 Protection
Yes, the OnePlus 5 is not Water Resistant nor Dust Proof. Users will have to be a lot more careful while using the device in monsoon seasons.
5. No wireless charging
Just like the previous flagship, the OnePlus 5 uses the Dash Charge feature for charging.
6. No Iris Scanner
Aint the fingerprint scanner too mainstream now? :p The Iris scanner was very much expected in such a high-end flagship device.
7. No IR Blaster
Nowadays even a Rs. 10k phone has an IR Blaster but the OnePlus 5 does not!

Fix – OnePlus 3 not charging

Is your OnePlus 3 not charging? There can be many reasons for that; It can be a hardware issue or just a software bug. Today I will be telling a few ways by which you can fix your phone’s not charging problem.
Fix OnePlus 3 not charging
Why is it not charging?
Let’s first see why it is happening that your newly bought OnePlus 3 not charging. OnePlus 3 uses a patented technology by Oppo called Dash charging. It charges at a 5V current which is even higher than the Quick Charge 2.0. Dash charging is new and has not been tested much like Quickcharge technology from Qualcomm. There can be issues with the USB – C pot as it is of triple-pin type and has more chances of getting damaged than the two – pin type which we find in Quick-charge compatible ports.
The other reason for OnePlus 3 not charging can be the OS. Oxygen OS still has a lot of bugs, from the day I have the phone, I have reported around five bugs to OnePlus team and most probably this is also one of them. The solution of this is however very easy.
The last reason why your OnePlus 3 is not charging might be that you charging cable is damaged. USB-C is not widely available so testing it is even more difficult.

Solutions
Now let us come to how you can fix all these issues.
The port of the phone is vulnerable to damage as it has a wide opening and dust particles can easily get inside. So to fix the USB-C port of your OnePlus 3, try blowing direct air to the port. If that doesn’t work, you can guy this tool for mere 1-2$ which will blow high pressurised air to the port. It still doesn’t work; chances are your pins of the port has been corroded. Even though there are fewer chances, but you still can keep your phone in a bowl of dry rice.
The next issue, i.e. issues in Oxygen OS can be fixed very easily. Make sure you have the latest version of the Oxygen OS by clicking here. Now go to about phone and tap build number 7 times to enable developer options, now go back to settings and open developer options. Now jus enables USB debugging; this will force the phone to accept everything from the USB port. This even though is used by app developers but can fix your issue. Now it can be that Oxygen OS still doesn’t show that your battery is charging, but it is. If you face any other issue in Oxygen OS, then you can simply report it here.
If your USB cable has been damaged then you can fix it by buying a new one.

Before buying, you should confirm that the issue was with your cable. If any of your friends has a phone with USB-C, then try with his/her charger, or you can simply go to mobile stores like Wallmart, Target, orison, Vodafone where they may have charging stations.
Is your OnePlus 3 no charging? If not then let us know in the comment section below and we may escalate the issue to OnePlus team.
