E-Sim is the way to go!
I was just going through my email and found an email from a certain brand claiming that their phone is superior in Dual Sim technology, So I quickly opened it to see what new have they done, well all it was trying to say was that E-Sim is not supported by every telecom company and our phones uses conventional technology so we are better than apple. That got me thinking, I researched a bit and tried to look into all the carriers that support E-Sim. So here is my conclusion on E-Sim and if it is better than the conventional way.
E-Sims, Are they any Good?
So when we look at the list of carriers, almost all major US carriers support E-Sim. A few in Europe and a handful in India, namely Airtel and JIo. This state is right now when the new phones are not in the market, Once they get in, I expect more number of Companies getting into this boat. So what this means is that the chances are your carrier will provide E-Sim, If not now, then they will very soon.
To switch a sim from One phone to another is very simple, all you need is a small pin to open the bracket, take the sim and transfer it to the other one. For E-Sim, If your phone to say is non-functional, You will need to go to the nearest store of your carrier and get a sim or register a new E-Sim for your new phone. Well, this is not as easy as the previous one and for me, I like to change my phones very often.
A nano sim may seem pretty small but is very big compared to the internals of a phone, I recently disassembled a OnePlus 3 and got to know just how much space both the sims take, So having an E-Sim will definitely save that space and for that space, you can get upto 20% more battery.
It will take another year or so before the E Sims become less of a hassle but it is the future and the ideal way to go. It creates a lot more possibilities and No Doubt E-Sims will take over and Now as Apple has done it, more and more companies will try to do so as well.

InFocus Launches Snap 4 and Turbo 5 Plus Smartphones Featuring Dual Cameras
New Delhi – InFocus launched two new phones for the budget Indian market, The InFocus Snap 4, and InFocus Turbo 5 Plus on Wednesday, 13th September. Today, we are going to take a closer look on both of phones and discuss the specifications of the smartphones.
InFocus Snap 4 Specifications, Design, and Price
The InFocus Snap 4 is a camera-centric smartphone with its main USP being the dual front camera as well as a dual rear camera. The rear features an 80-degree 13-megapixel and 120-degree wide-angle 8-megapixel camera. On the front side, we get similar sets of 8MP sensors. With the front dual camera, great selfies with blurred background, which none of the other competitors in this range do.
The Snap 4 features a unique 5.2” 2.5D curved display with a resolution of 720X1280. This makes the phone very practical as the low resolution will help to conserve the battery and will give the user a higher SOT. On the performance side, it comes with an MT6750 MediaTek processor, which is more than adequate for daily use. The Snap 4 comes only in a single variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory (expandable up to 128GB). Out of the box, it comes running on InFocus’s custom UI based on android 7.0. The Snap 4 also comes with a fingerprint scanner which company claims to be super-fast and can unlock the phone within half a second.
The phone would be sold exclusively on amazon.in for 11,999 from 21st Sept, 12:00 am onwards.
InFocus Turbo 5 Plus Specifications, Design, and Price
The InFocus Turbo 5 Plus is the cheaper of the two but still, comes with loads of features. It comes with a dual rear camera set, with the main unit, a 13MP f2.0 sensor, while the secondary sensor being 5MP f2.2. The camera captures sharp and detailed images, far better than the competition. Talking about the Selfie camera, it comes with a not so impressive 5MP unit, but keeping the price in mind, it still feels great.
The Turbo 5 Plus features a 5.5” HD display with a PPI of ~268. The Turbo 5 Plus, comes with the same processor as the Snap 4, the MT6750 which is a great processor for this price category. It also comes with 3GB of RAM< 32 GB Internal memory which is again expandable but just up to 64GB. The Snap 4 and the Turbo 5 Plus, comes with an identical UI, the only difference being the camera App.
The main USP of the phone, however, is the humongous 4850mAh battery while still maintains a weight of just 174gms. When holding the phone, it no way feels as if it has such a large battery.
The InFocus Turbo 5 Plus is priced at just Rs 8,99 which is a steal for such a phone and will be available at Amazon starting 21st September 12.00 am onwards.
InFocus is known for releasing phones at a low price with great features, but this time I feel they have gone one step ahead providing absolute value to money phones for the Indian market.
